The Library and Archives

You will be supported in your study with accessing both print and online resources by our Librarian and Learning Resource Coordinator, Sim Taylor. Our library resources are available to borrow. You will have access to all the specialist resources within the collections.

Old Postern Library and Reading Room
Open daily, 8am – late

The beautiful library in the Old Postern houses our main collection relating to Regenerative Food and Farming; Ecological Design Thinking; Engaged Ecology; Holistic Science; Research Methods; Environment and Ecology.

Elmhirst Library
Open daily, 8am-8pm

This library based next to the historic Dartington Hall houses our collection of resources relating to: Transformative Education; Regenerative Economics; Movement, Mind, Ecology; Poetics of the Imagination; Arts and Place; Literature; Philosophy; Psychology; and culture. The library is also a peaceful place to study individually or in small groups. There is a photocopier, printer and scanner in the Elmhirst Library to help you with your studies.

Our partnership with The University of Plymouth Library enables our students access to electronic journal articles and ebooks as well as to the library print books, and other multimedia items, video-editing suite and high-quality printing and binding facilities including Ricoh digital black and white and colour printers, A4, A3, and A2 and A0 printing and scanning for posters and banners.
