about stephe

Stephe Gray is a Yorkshire-born artist whose work is deeply rooted in transformation and the language of silence. She has a keen interest in arcane wisdom and has developed work referencing alchemical stages and principles. Much of her practice incorporates found objects which undergo various techniques to create imaginative metaphors for contemplation, often drawing from historical tropes. Encompassing writing, video and installation she continues to explore archetypal themes which draw from personal and collective experience.
